Amanda Mikl ma, lmft - Mental Health Therapist, Billing Manager

When working with youth I utilize play and other creative arts to assist them in communicating emotions and working through difficulties. I also enjoy working with pre-marital couples and am trained to administer the Prepare/Enrich, an inventory for both pre-marital and marital couples that provides a snapshot of their current relationship. My therapeutic approach is a collaborative effort. Individuals are the experts on their own lives and experiences and it is my role to support them while providing tools and insight as they work to overcome current stressors. This approach helps me tailor to the unique needs of  each individual. I enjoy working with many different people and supporting them through various life situations.

Jenny Schill ms, mft - Mental Health Therapist

I have a deep awareness of how social and cultural identities create each person’s individuality. This knowledge increased my regard for the dignity and worthiness of every individual. In all aspects of my life, I approach issues and challenges through a strengths-perspective, focusing on highlighting the positive in others and decreasing situations causing life stressors.  In a therapeutic setting, you and I will brainstorm solutions and work toward goals together, through a trusting, caring relationship.  I am confident that through this respectful collaboration we will see an increase in healthy functioning in all aspects of your life.

Kim Henningsgard  msw, apsw - Mental Health Therapist

I have worked with victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence for the past five years. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe space for individuals to share their life stories and provide the encouragement to explore, heal, and re-create their lives. My therapeutic interests include domestic violence, sexual violence, family and relationship conflict, parenting, adolescent behavior, depression and anxiety.

Val Zellmer ms, lmft - Clinic Director, Mental Health Therapist

My career as a therapist and clinic director/owner has been among the most rewarding experiences of my life. Each day I am blessed with the opportunity to enter into people’s stories and to help them move toward greater healing and wholeness. During my years in therapeutic practice, I am repeatedly amazed at people’s resiliency, at their ability to overcome trauma and abuse, and at their capacity to triumph over incredible obstacles.     Much of my work with clients revolves around helping them recognize their inner-strengths and developing new skills to facilitate happier, fuller, healthier living.
